Hello, this is AJ, welcome to the vocabulary lesson for “Raya And The Last Dragon”.

1. Dystopian - ديستوبي/خيالي مظلم

Our first word is dystopian. A dystopian world is a place where everything is dark, negative, and oppressive. Imagine a future where the government controls everything, and people have no freedom. That’s a dystopian society. Think of movies like The Hunger Games or 1984 by George Orwell. These stories show dystopian worlds—places that are grim and full of suffering.

2. Harmoniously - بتناغم

Our next word is harmoniously. To do something harmoniously means to do it in a way that is peaceful and works well together. For example, if a group of people are working on a project harmoniously, it means they are cooperating well and everything is smooth. Imagine an orchestra playing music—every instrument works together harmoniously to create a beautiful sound.

3. Plague - وباء

Our next word is plague. A plague is a terrible disease that spreads quickly and kills many people. Historically, the Black Plague in Europe killed millions of people. But we can also use this word to talk about any big problem that spreads and causes harm, like saying, "Violence has plagued the city for years," meaning it has been a big, harmful problem.

4. Remnant - بقايا

Our next word is remnant. A remnant is a small piece of something that is left over. Imagine you have a big cake, and you eat most of it. The small piece left is a remnant of the cake. Or after a big storm, you might find remnants of trees and buildings on the ground—small pieces that are left after the damage.

5. Prosperity - رخاء

Our next word is prosperity. Prosperity means a time of wealth, success, and good fortune. When a country has a strong economy, and people have good jobs and live comfortably, we say the country is experiencing prosperity. It’s about having more than enough and living well.

6. Relic - أثر قديم

Our next word is relic. A relic is something very old and important from history. It could be an ancient sword, a piece of pottery, or even a famous book from hundreds of years ago. Imagine you find an old coin from the Roman Empire—that’s a relic! It’s something from the past that tells us about history.
